Detectives are at the scene of what appears to have been a double homicide Sunday afternoon at Coors Boulevard NW and Quail Road, an Albuquerque Police Department news release said. One person died at the scene and the other died after being taken to the hospital, the release said.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Authorities are reporting a death investigation in northwest Albuquerque. Albuquerque Police Department said their homicide team was investigating a death at Coors Blvd and Quail Road NW on Sunday. One person was found dead at the scene, and another person was hospitalized and died.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) said they were dispatched to a scene near Atrisco Drive and Rosendo Garcia Road SW around 1:30 a.m. They found two deceased people there. Little details have been released, but BCSO is calling the case a “double homicide,” and they are trying to determine what happened.
