Bloober Team unveiled what it’s been working on at today’s Xbox Partner Showcase event. The studio showed off a cinematic trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn, which is a brand-new IP. The developer describes the game as “a twisted time travel story set in an unforgiving post-apocalyptic future.

When PC Gamer reported on the cancellation of Project C’s partnership with Private Division, it said that Bloober Team was “prepared for potential alternatives”, and that work on Project C was continuing. That “potential alternative”, it seems, is Bloober Team self-publishing Cronos: The New Dawn.

After the successful launch of Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team is moving onto its own material, and it looks like the first stop is Cronos: The New Dawn, which is set to release sometime in 2025. Bloober Team’s latest, Silent Hill 2 was released earlier this week to widespread critical acclaim, and currently has a Metacritic score of 87. VGC’s Silent Hill 2 review says the remake “proves the doubters wrong”, calling it “a faithful take on a survival horror classic”.

After the success of the 'Silent Hill 2' remake, Bloober Team has unveiled its next horror game 'Cronos: The New Dawn', which will be a new I.P. and sees player travel through time to explore a post-apocalyptic future and 1980’s Poland.
