Aidan O'Connell was looking forward to securing his hold on the starting quarterback job for the Las Vegas Raiders, only to sustain a thumb injury in the first quarter of a 20-15 loss at the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Rams won their second game of the season on Sunday afternoon, beating the Las Vegas Raiders by a score of 20-15 at SoFi Stadium. It was an underwhelming performance on offense, but the defense forced four turnovers and stepped up when it needed to most.

Turnovers plagued the Raiders yet again on Sunday, and Las Vegas lost a close game to the Rams in Los Angeles, 20-15. After quarterback Aidan O'Connell left the game with an injured right thumb, reserve QB Gardner Minshew took his place.
