Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan said the five-time champions are hopeful of retaining MS Dhoni for the next season. Dhoni has remained tight-lipped about his future as a player in the IPL.

Before signing MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings had their eyes on another player in 2008. The player joined Delhi Capitals (then known as Delhi Daredevils). He also played for Punjab Kings (then known as Kings XI Punjab) but never won an IPL trophy.

The Chennai Super Kings want MS Dhoni to participate in the IPL for at least one more season, Kasi Viswanathan reaffirmed.
